The office of the Controller of Examinations Sanothimi Sunday published the results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination for the year 2008, conducted three months back.

According to the published results, 64 percent of the total regular examinees and 32.24 percent from exempted examinees passed the SLC exam, known popularly as the iron gate to pursue higher studies.

Results are available by dialling 1600.

Altogether 379377 students had appeared in this year’s SLC exam conducted from March 17 to 27.
